Donations

The web server of Try It Online v2 and TIO Nexus and the arena (where user code of those services is executed) currently run on two separate servers. TIO is getting more and more traffic, so additional arenas will be required. Also, the web server will eventually need additonal storage for server-side permalinks. With your help, I hope to ensure a smooth operation of all TIO services.

Bitcoins can be donated to the address 1TryittLK3yAScCKavr5pg1eCZgpTdqYH. This is the preferred donation channel.

If you have a PayPal account, you can send your donation to the email address server-costs@tryitonline.net by choosing the Send money to friends and family option on the Send & Request tab in your PayPal profile (direct link). The preferred currencies are Euros and US Dollars, in that order.

Referrals

TIO is powered by DigitalOcean. Their virtual private servers are affordable, fast, scalable, and (most importantly) professionally managed.

If you're looking for a VPS and decide to rent one from DigitalOcean, you can sign up by clicking the link above. You'll get $10 in DO credit for using my referral link and, as soon as you spend the minimum amount on their products, I'll get $25 credit myself to help cover my server costs.

TIO Nexus is the latest stable version of Try It Online. It seeks to bridge the gap between the retired Try It Online v1 (stable, minimalistic, limited language support) and Try It Online v2 (early alpha, feature-rich, ample language support). Apart from the improved design and the compressed permalinks, the most notable change should be the properly sandboxed backend, which makes it possible to add the practical programming languages that were missing from version 1.

If you have a request, need help with something, or want to learn how you can contribute to TIO, check out the community drawer. You can access it by clicking the button in the navigation bar or by pressing the Escape key, followed by C.
